About Dr. Tabol
Charity Tabol, Ph.D., HSPP is a licensed Psychologist and Health Service Provider in private practice, specializing in the treatment of Posttraumatic Stress Disorder and other sequelae of trauma. She has experience in the areas of combat trauma, sexual trauma, and complex, attachment, & relational trauma. She earned her Master’s degree from the University of Manchester in England, and her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Tabol trained in a variety of inpatient, outpatient, forensic, and partial hospital settings, then worked in the VA system for 12 years, providing individual, group, and couples' therapy to military veterans and their family members. Her other professional activities have included teaching graduate and undergraduate students, co-coordinating a psychotherapy clinic, assisting with research on supported self-employment for veterans, supervision of psychology practicum students and interns, and presentation of seminars for trainees and community professionals.
Dr. Tabol is available to see adults (18+) for individual therapy. Areas of her practice include trauma and PTSD, anxiety, depression, life transitions, grief, stress management, coping with chronic pain and illness, and relationship difficulties. She uses a primarily cognitive-behavioral approach to formulation and treatment, also integrating feminist, humanistic, and relational approaches. She is currently a non-network Tricare provider, an in-network Anthem BCBS provider, a Medicare provider, and accepts self-pay clients. She provides receipts of payment for out of network reimbursement.
Dr. Tabol is a PSYPACT provider and member of the Star Behavioral Health provider network. She is a member of the Covid-Conscious Therapists directory. Her professional memberships include the Indiana Psychological Association, American Psychological Association, and National Register of Health Service Psychologists.
